ISO 14000 EMS Primer Syllabus

To provide participants with a comprehensive overview of the ISO 14001 specification standard and its core elements (environmental policy, planning, and implementation, checking and corrective action, andmanagement review), as well as the companion guidance standard, ISO 14004. Participants will receive guidance on: how to develop an environmental policy, identify significant environmental aspects and assess and perform a gap analysis of their own operations. Other topics include benefits that can be gained from implementing an EMS and the ISO 14001 registration audit process. The course includes a combination of lecture, practical examples and workshop exercises.
