Mold Remediation Pilot Study:
Develop and coordinate original research project for residential toxic mold remediation designed to provide safe return to the home for an infant with potentially fatal bleeding lung disease. A risk assessment strategy for illness associated with the mold was developed as a result of this project. Worker safety and exposure potential and the efficacy and cost-effectiveness of several abatement/remediation strategies were measured. The results of the project identified a need for further development of affordable sampling strategies and identification of toxic mold
EPA Whole House Initiative Coordinator ($150k grant):
Coordinate research project for special residential IAQ project implementation and development.
